Thinking of constructability we would probably benefit from using cables at this point - something like a harp or a tensile bridge as suggested by Johnathan - Where the structure is clear and supportive. Val suggested somethingwhere the structure is like an arch above you and cables went to the ground allowing a path to walk through.
On the other hand - another compelling idea at this point is from Sarahs blog where the structure is more linear as "tracers" of the path of the flock and there might be cables on top of the structure.
I am not clear of the mechanics at this point but the idea seems compelling. I'm including her image here.
